Arduino
Animated
Store Emails

︎︎︎ Marketing Campaign
In 2020, the Arduino Visual Design team began exploring 2D motion graphics. For the digital store, we developed a series of animations to accompany emails sent to customers, providing updates on their purchases. Arduino's tone is characterized by irony and playfulness, emphasizing that learning technology can be easy with our support. With this concept in mind, we animated our beloved Arduino Puppets.

Puppets? What are those?

We refer to them as puppets, but they are actually electronic components: transistors, LEDs, capacitors, MOSFETs, chips, LCD screens, and more. Each component has its own personality and features, enabling us to tell stories with their unique characteristics.

The animation was created in Adobe After Effects using the Rubber Hose plugin for the arms and legs, providing great flexibility and expressiveness with subtle movements.

The concept behind the puppets emphasizes diversity and flexibility. There are numerous variations of the puppets, representing all the different people within the Arduino community.

Just as Arduino is for everyone,
our puppets represent everyone too.

We created different animations for each phase of the purchasing process, aiming to add a touch of playfulness while customers await their orders. These animations accompany customers through each step, from the moment an item is purchased, to when it is shipped, and even when a refund is issued.

The storyline extends beyond just the puppets: we designed custom emails that maintain consistency with the visual style of the puppets. These emails feature UI elements for updates, various objects, and even typography, all unified within the same visual ecosystem.

Not satisfied with your purchase? Well, that's how it goes!

We've created a special animation featuring the LCD screen puppet dressed in full Monopoly attire on a dollar bill. Your refund is on its way!
